Dream

History

Dream was born within the entrancing realm of the Arcanist, to a family of small numbers. He was the quiet one of the bunch, often overshadowed by his siblings. As he grew up, he found that he differed from then in more than noise level.
Dream loved the flora and fauna of Sorneith. The wild vegetation, the beasts that claimed lands just outside the dragons' domain all fascinated him. While the other Arcane dragons walked with their heads in the clouds, he had his snout to the ground.
He was observant and liked to document each of his findings when he ventured out from home. He often brought along many rolls of parchment and quills and occasionally when he ran out, would use rocks and carve into them with his thick claws. His space in the lair was all books, papers and ink spills. Much of the stone around him was carved with notes to himself that were long forgotten.
Time eventually came for his family to decide their fates; would they become mages as was the norm in their home realm? would any of them branch off to become a healer once they mastered magic of the arcane variety? who may stay home and tend to the young ones, or train the eager fighters to defend the smaller dragons?
One after the other, Dream watched his parents and siblings choose to serve their deity. He considered it, worried about being separate from his family. But in the end he knew, the Arcanist would not want him to go to serve if his heart held a fire for something else.
So he packed up his things and he left their lair to begin his search. Surely he could put his adoration of flowers and beasts to use. Surely, he belonged somewhere.
