Biography

"You know, I wonder how long it'll be 'til we're all rotting in the ground. Who knows, maybe some poor kid'll find our bodies and decide that ghosts are real and the apocalypse is nigh." His comrades lose their heads laughing, with claws slammed onto the ground and ecstatic cheers in response, but there's a grain of truth in that statement. Living the way he does, Chromium really has no idea how many more days or hours the deities will permit him to live on; being the finest sharpshooter for miles and an amazing fighter in general really does make you wonder.

However, he did not start out with fame- does anyone really do so?- and came from rather humble beginnings. His mother and father were the run-of-the-mill wanderers, the ones you would see sneaking a ride with a traveling caravan or pickpocketing the little ones who would innocently walk up to them and start a conversation. Parents aren't anything more than a thought to him, though, so he often leaves them out of his memory, for he was sent away on his own soon after. There simply...weren't enough funds to support the extravagant lifestyle of his father.

Living alone in the woods can change a dragon, and for him, it is no exception. Chromium, with his shining feathers and scales, would use the rare sunlight or even the glow of nearby mushrooms to create glints that would attract birds and bugs of all sorts, then snap down with claws unsheathed, teeth bared, and a makeshift bow at his side, with an arrow already just out of place enough to grab, place quickly onto the string, and pull back, for a quick kill.

As the prey ran out, he'd migrate to other areas, in all different territories. The volcanoes, the ocean, and even the ruins of light that he felt so uncomfortable in were prime hunting locations, but he finally settled on stalking around the Starwood Strand, for it was infinite and he would never be found by the animals that were tracing the star map in their own ways. However...solitude comes to an end. With proficiency comes interest, and with that comes promises.

Hearing of the nearby clan welcoming in new members, Chromium has opted to lend his talent to them. While not used to having some, even if only a bit, of his freedom restricted, he has adapted as best he can to a situation like it, and perhaps he's even found love. Life may be fleeting, but as long as he enjoys what time he does have, then this isn't so bad. This, too, shall pass.
