The Devil of the South, Kukri is an Effluvial Queen whose territory is established to the southern borders of the Wandering Contagion. There, she guards it jealously against all competition alongside her mate, Kujang.

She did not always reside there. Rather, Kukri appeared one day with little to no belongings of her own, only dressed as she was. It was later that evening that she came across an injured Kujang and spent the rest of the week nursing him back to health, all while learning the lay of the land through his words and memories. With no other Crows in sight and a safely recovered Kujang, the two wasted no time in carving out a place of their own.

Like fire and ice, her temperament switches violently between the two. In one moment, she is soft-spoken and demure, and within another she is volatile and fierce. There is little in between, but she is well-meaning if not passionate. Her imposing demeanor allows her to reign in the wild antics of her young as well as keep the rest of the Effluvial clans from losing their heads in reckless disputes.

Whatever work that cannot be accomplished through strong words and showing of teeth is then taken care of by Kujang behind the scenes without her notice. Anything else that manages to escape through the gaps is then barred behind Kukri's steely memory where a grudge soon encapsulates it, never to be forgotten until the matter is one day resolved.

My sun, and my rose--thorns included. *the sharp sound of a slap, presumably upside his head echoes throughout the room* In the best way I meant, of course! *he quickly throws his hands up in a mock, playful surrender* I would do anything to see her smile a little longer.

Kukri is more than likely acquainted with Scythe. Though the two never mention one another, Kukri seems to know of her better than most; however, it doesn't seem as if it is a positive thing and her temper tends to flare when pressed on the subject.

The longest grudge held by Kukri had spanned nearly ten years. It was not that it expired within ten years, but that the matter had been forcibly settled when they finally turfed the unfortunate fellow out of hiding.

Hatchlings that lend themselves more cautious and demure personalities tend to inherit it from her side. Especially ones who are vengeful and prone to sudden fiery outbursts in temper when they are wronged.
