BACKSTORY
Quorin grew up Clanborn and lived a mostly quiet life. Not that he was socially anxious, but he preferred not to be the center of attention most of the time; he simply liked to observe. Not too far into his childhood, an illness struck the Clan. Though it was not necessarily a life-destroying plague, it still affected many dragons, and as there was no trained healers at the time, it took an enormous toll on the Clan. Quorin was one of the victims, and spent many days suffering, in and out of consciousness, until he was finally cleared of the disease. This sparked his desire to become a doctor for the Clan, but also sparked something else, this being his questioning of the deities. Originally he believed them not to be real entirely; but as there were so many stories of actual encounters with the deities, and Quorin even had the opportunity to listen to the Tidelord by way of one of the mages, he decided that, though they were real, they did not actually care for the welfare of the dragons serving them. He came to the conclusion that they were Emperors or other powerful dragons of some sort who had taken on alternate forms to trick dragons into worshipping him. Therefore, Quorin refuses to worship them and even, to an extent, dislikes them. Though he is protected by the Third Law of the Clan, Quorin still experiences aggression for his belief of the deities. This aggression, though, allowed him to understand Dust's turmoil, as she came into the Clan as an "ugly" dragoness, and faced pushback for her unfavored appearance. The two became close friends, and eventually married.

PERSONALITY
Quorin is quite a quiet dragon. As one would expect from a garden-variety silent type, he spends much of his extra time reading books and becoming educated. He especially divulges himself in scripts about anatomy and medical information, with the desire to become the best healer for his Clan. He even has developed a nice friendship with Dream, the Clan's sole librarian. Other than his obsession with medical books, Quorin also challenges his nocturne blood by reading up books about all other breeds, then acting appropriately around them. In this way, he can be both courteous to each breed in their own way and have fun with their biology. Moving away from books, his other hobbies include writing down his own informational pieces (though he refuses to have them published) and spending time with Dust, doing what she likes.

SOCIAL
Quorin is an extreme outsider thanks to his atheism and certain belief of the gods. He is often resented and has things thrown at him, and is very used to hearing the words "Shade-touched" describing him. Quorin, however, never really lashes back out at others, simply dropping his emotion and becoming monotone and expressionless (as a fae is). This tends to only infuriate others even more, as they believe it to be the Shade making him shut down to ignore the truth. Nevertheless, despite the hostility he receives for believing what he believes, Quorin still leads a happy life with the few people around him that love and appreciate him for the quiet, unique-thinking individual that he is.
