"A frenzy of activity can be heard from the bar, shouts of a fight drowned out by a few sharp calls from whoever was standing behind it. You see flashes of white and green, a flurry of feathers, and realize a small coatl is standing up on top between two massive bristling guardians. You can’t hear what she says, but her tongue is flicking out with a hiss at every word, and both combatants are looking increasingly sheepish. Before long they slink back to their respective drinks with a sharp glare from her bright blue eyes, and the coatl goes back to cleaning her glasses with an eye roll and a sigh.”

Alexandra was raised by her family in the clan to be a shopkeep and bartender for the inn at the crossroads of town for travelers passing through. When the rest of her family either died or moved on, she alone remained to run it, and slowly a small clan grew up around its crossroads. Because of how early she had to take over the inn, she became shrewd, smart, stubborn, and businesslike, but her people-sense is unparalleled, and she has a way with flattering words taught to her by her mother that get her top-tier tips.

These days, Alexandra is a lot less sharp, but still doesn’t take nonsense or loiterers filling up her tables. Anyone who stays the night without pay will be put to work, as Zuzanna, Altus, and many other wanderers and newcomers to the clan have quickly found out, but she’s fair and treats her staff well. In her spare time she can often be found down by the docks with Spinel or gossiping at the local town center while she buys produce for the next day’s dinners.
