Biography

Cassiopeia bore the name Kristin before she came to Clan Gladehaven. From the Starfall Isles, Kristin traveled to the Tangled Wood, living a simple, peaceful life. However, she was proud of her Arcane heritage, and always looked to the stars. She became a starseer, studying celestial beings in the night sky, but she was alone in her studies, and became lonely. The young Tundra wished she could learn more about the wonders of the void above, and so, she sought out a mentor, leading her to Clan Gladehaven in the Viridian Labyrinth.

Kristin heard about this clan by learning of a dragon named
Savil. Savil was the partner of the popular performer Tevinter, and she learned through gossip that he was an astronomer from the Starfall Isles as well! Thinking he would be an excellent mentor, she ventured out, hoping to meet such a respectable, studious starseer.

As she arrived, she found and befriended the Wildclaw, but did not end up his apprentice. Instead, he guided her to a Spiral named Andromeda, whom he believed would teach Kristin more than he ever could. She was not an astronomer, but an Acolyte of Arcane, despite being a dragon of Ice. Nevertheless, Kristin wanted to learn more, and in due time, became Andromeda's apprentice.

Andromeda saw the potential Kristin held in her, and taught her everything she knew; the two bonded deeply and quickly, spending almost every day and always every night together. Andromeda became such an inspiration to Kristin that she opted to become a Spiral just like her mentor, taking on a new, beautiful form in turn. She felt lighter than air, and thus, closer to the stars. Some days, some members of the clan would mistake one for the other! And this only entertained the both of them.

Much to Kristin's lament, Andromeda had been speaking to the clan exalter, Ancient, for some time. One day, she came to Kristin, and told her of her desires to seek exaltation to the Arcanist. Though she was not of Arcane herself, it was a calling she yearned for, as to her, she would be closer to the stars she loved so dearly. Though she would miss Kristin, Andromeda knew she had taught her all she could, and her apprentice was ready to take on her role of Acolyte in the clan. It was a sad night when Andromeda left for the Starfall Isles, but Kristin did not let it bring her down, and with great honor accepted her new title. With great respect for her mentor, she changed her name to Cassiopeia, in honor and remembrance of Andromeda's beauty and astral name.

With the knowledge and powers of an Acolyte and a heritage from Arcane, the Matriarch Sarihlle approached Cassiopeia to bestow her the title of Ambassador to Arcane. Cassiopeia accepted the honor graciously, and soon befriended the other ambassadors with ease. Though she misses her mentor, she found a life she would have never dreamed of having elsewhere, and she would never change it for the world.

ohhhh uncommon is lovely...

- castienne and astros both have had crushes on cassiopeia for a long time, and have felt mildly competitive with one another over it
- she just doesn't know what to do because she doesn't reciprocate either of their feelings; she's focused on her studies and job
- both have tried to woo her, to no avail
- eventually she just gets frustrated and needs a break from them both; castienne and astros feel awful, but mostly because they're embarrassed. the two of them try to talk things out rather than feel competitive or jealous
- castienne backs off for a while and thinks on his own
- cassiopeia and astros have a moment together. he tells her honestly that he's tried to stop feeling what he does, but it's so hard, and he doesn't know what to do. she starts to feel bad, wishing she could do something to help
- cassiopeia tells astros that she isn't mad at him for feeling what he feels. he asks if he can have a hug, and she says of course! and gives him a big tight spiral hug. she ends up telling him she still wants to be his friend, and just has to think about things. she gives him a boop on the forehead with her own, and he smiles, appreciating their friendship first and foremost. in all honesty, he was worried he was pushing her away, so he thinks he can work with this
- eventually castienne comes back and cassiopeia relays the same to him; she just has to think about things, but just wants to be friends for now. castienne understands, solemnly. cassiopeia gives him a hug too, surprising him
- the three of them work on their friendship together, working on all being friends and getting along. it makes cassiopeia much happier, which ends up making castienne and astros happy too
- astros still has his feelings, but he wants to respect cassiopeia's wishes. she reminds him it's okay to feel feelings, and is grateful for his respect. the two of them talk things out to work it out, and their friendship becomes closer than ever before (rather than him essentially admiring her from a distance which he sorta used to)
- castienne is accepting of this too, and has an easier time sorting his feelings and respecting cassiopeia's wishes. he's honestly glad to not only retain his friendship with her, but gain astros as a friend too
- cassiopeia refocuses on her studies, and castienne and astros both help her with them and gain interest in them too. where that may go, nobody knows!
