Care taker by day, warrior by night.

Throughout my younger years all I could think about was being a warrior. Strong, brave and clever. my grandfather told me stories about his trips around the world. All the things he endured and he is still alive and kicking.
"It's not about the treasure" he said. It's about honour!"
When I was old enough I participated in every training program that was available. I even practiced when I was supposed to do my studies. Although it was definitely not the smartest thing to do. I had to work even harder to stay awake during my teachings.
All my hard work paid off and I was an official warrior at about 2 months. I have never been happier.
When I began it was all about the rewards. Even after what my grandfather said...I got addicted to the treasure. I had piles of treasure. I was set for life. I was greedy.

Everything turned out for the better though. One day on one of my battle training sessions I heard a loud cry followed by something crashing down to the ground, hard. The ground shook but it didn't stop me from following the cries. I could have flown but I didn't want to miss the sounds I heard closer to the ground.
Caves were collapsing all around my groups home. Our home which used to be a great and mighty mountain was now sunken to the ground. our home was no longer home.
More screams and cries. Hatchlings helpless and stranded where almost goners. I dashed as fast I could to save them all. Sadly there were many deaths. I have never failed a mission and I never lost comrades in my care.
Once I was greedy and now I am not.
Those hatchlings lost their families and I swore after that horrific day I would watch over them and protect them at all costs. My treasure I had saved from previous battles and adventures became the donation needed towards helping others.
Slowly everything is going back to normal. Although I cannot bring the dead to life I will be the permanent caretaker for the little ones I had saved.
