Biography

Satin

Ancient and wise, the most valuable fixture of the lair. Or... well... she will be, eventually. She's older than most of the other dragons. She has time to improve.

Always knows where she is (to the sulking envy of Tigris, still knows even when he swipes her compass) and usually knows which way to find anywhere else too. Parties with her in them may get blown off course or turned around but are never at a loss as to which way is home.
Grew up, got a mate and had hatchlings because that's what adult dragons do... but wound up on her own again. She would prefer the inference of a great love long-lost, but since the truth is they realized they weren't that interested in each other (and he's still around) she just doesn't talk about it.


Kamaji found a spiderlike construct in near-perfect working order on one of his jaunts to scavenge for parts, tuned it up and gave it to her to assist in polishing her scales. Tigris found a monkeybot of vaguely similiar construction in Swamprat's pile of scrap metal, swiped it with an oily rag and showed off his superior companion.

It isn't. Satin's bot operates perfectly. Tigris's barely hangs together in one piece and anything it touches invents new ways to break thereafter, which only Tigris refuses to admit. Satin doesn't gloat because that would be petty and she's above that, but it certainly is a lovely illustration of exactly the results one's actions deserve.


Sneaks down to play with Carillon's spire-carved pipe organ sometimes when the whole lair's busy (out or huddled away from storms or in full festive revel), but not very often, because she only knows a few simple tunes and there's hardly any way to practice without someone hearing.

Pillow-145-34-8-136-93.png Remy, upon learning that Satin is (almost) (one of) the Oldest Dragons in the Lair, immediately offered her a pillow because old dragons have bad joints so they need soft surfaces to rest!

Satin is... grateful. For the gift. Very thoughtful...
