Biography
Familiar's Name: Ailurus
~~His name is pronounced "sell-ENN-ee-awn," not "sell onion"!~~
Selenion hatched with two siblings, under a full moon, abandoned in a forest.
Suddenly, a vision of the smiling, glowing Lightweaver appeared to all three of them. She then faded away, not saying a word.
But to Cynion, a warmly glowing white dog appeared and ran up to him. It licked his feathers and then disappeared in a wisp of light. But no one else could see it. He named himself Cynion, "cyn" meaning "dog" in Old Wyrm and "-ion" being a suffix honoring the Lightweaver.
To Moonpainter--not his original name--a rainbow of splashing colors appeared, then slowly faded. A pastel blue was the last to fade. He named himself Awyrion, as "awyr" meant either "color"or "blue" in the Great Wyrm language.
And Selenion? Selenion saw the moon grow larger and larger, gaining a halo, and saw a divine light spirit that flew and soared in the sky around the moon. He knew it was his calling. He named himself after the fictional moon goddess, Selene, who was discovered not to be real when the Dragon Deities showed themselves.
