Biography
DUELLONA
Goddess of Battle
Originally named Duellona in the Italic languages, the cult figure who became Bellona was an ancient Sabine goddess of war and identified with Nerio, the consort of the war god Mars - and later with the Greek Enyo. Her first temple in Rome was dedicated in 296 BCE, where her festival was celebrated on the 3rd of June.
Duellona holds herself in high regard, a perfectionist both on and off of the battle field. She is the symbol of war, destruction, conquest, and bloodlust. In all the years she has lived, her prowess has spread across the land, her victories over the beastclans revered throughout Sornieth. Her battles are a deadly dance, the slash of her blade felling all those who dare oppose her, or threaten her home. Her leadership is unmatched, and she pushes through the coliseum, facing even the most powerful bosses without a glimmer of fear, her eyes scorching through all of her challengers.
Enyo, her dear Mainecoon, is her most precious companion. Enyo is her loyal scout, her eyes and ears for the unseen paths ahead, skillfully hidden among the territories, an invaluable asset to Duellona's victory. To her, Enyo is an equal, and she is always well-rewarded for her assistance. To dare insult Enyo or harm a hair upon her fur is to dishonor Duellona herself, and a sure-fire way to bring wrath upon yourself.
