Biography

Haiku had been a quirky hatchling from the start. She was quite the clumsy one, but always enthusiastic about the world and eager to explore. She had discovered her passion for art and poetry early on, her claws always feeling odd and empty without a paintbrush or pencil. She was often covered in colorful streaks and ink, and was always a chatterbox, rambling on about philosophy and art even when there was no one to listen. Haiku had never been down on herself before, always striving to see new sights for inspiration and constantly improving on her writing and drawing.

So it was immensely jarring when she finally became acquainted with writer's block.. It wasn't too long after that did its twin art block come along as well, preventing her from filling her canvases or sketchbooks. Her passion was there, but there wasn't any inspiration, no motivation to do what she had always loved to do. Everything was more or less the same. Same colors of the world, same faces around her, all from the same perspective she had been seeing from her whole life.

Haiku struggled to get around it, but nothing seemed to be working. Visiting other clans with the ambassadors didn't help, meeting new people didn't help, exploring new places and even attempting to trail the warriors to the coliseum didn't help either. It was frustrating, and saddening, that Haiku was unable to find her muse. She had always loved art and poetry, why now was this happening to her? What could she do to change it?

The Fae was restless, still chattering away, though her train of thought often derailed and she would talk to herself about random subjects that changed every five seconds. It wasn't too long before Haiku was becoming more upset about her inability to do anything she loved.

A miracle just so happened to come in the form of a scroll. A Gaoler scroll.

Haiku's swirled sight was entranced by the scroll as the Guild leaders presented it to them. She couldn't help but feel a burst of hope, a tingle of excitement in her frills as she stepped forwards eagerly, a manic grin on her face. She needed that scroll! It was exactly what she had been searching for all this time. A brand new perspective, a brand new outlook, a fresh, clean slate.

The Fae was on a mission and she could not be stopped. She clumsily rushed over, wings fluttering in eager excitement as she made grabby hands for the magical scroll. The Guild leaders weren't fast enough to react, and she had snatched the scroll in a second, gleefully laughing aloud as a soft white glow enveloped her body as she began to change.

And just like that, she felt free again, like she was finally herself once more. She pranced around happily, ignoring the shocked and stunned faces of the Guild members around her. Her heart soared as she felt a million ideas for sketches and paintings and poetry ran through her head. She scrambled for her supplies, even more of a klutz in the big, bulky body of a Gaoler, her tail tripping her multiple times and her mane swishing into her eyes.

Haiku felt a weight slip off her shoulders as she relearned how to handle a paintbrush in her awkward claws, her fur often dipping into the paint she used or streaking across her canvas or smearing the ink on her pages, but she was doing what she loved and that was all that mattered.
