Back when the clan was first established, it was different. Absolem brought her in, after reuniting with his life’s mate, Vertigo. He told Rosalia that this other female would be his second, instead of her. She was young and heartbroken, since she had carried his eggs and raised his hatchlings ever so briefly. She worried for her place in the clan, because of it. Would this matriarch kick her out as soon as she could due to her past relationship with Absolem? Luckily, her worries were cast aside by Vertigo, who took Rosalia as a handmaiden not soon after. It didn’t take long for her to start enjoying the Pearlcatcher’s company, and they soon started fighting for sport along-side one another.

It wasn’t until the clan was well established that she took another mate. His name was Crowley and he had entered her life in a burst of feathers. The first thing that she thought when he fell out of the sky towards her was that a dragon with wings like his ought to have been born a bird instead. He had still been a hatchling at the time, so when he plummeted face first towards her, he had been easy enough to catch. Surely if she hadn’t been around, he would have broken a bone or two with his crash landing. Rosalia had been expecting at least a “Thank you” from the younger male, but all she received was a bite on the neck before the imperial escaped from her grasp in a fury of limbs and feathers. She simply thought “Good riddance” when he scurried off and was relieved at the thought that she likely wouldn’t have to see him again… She was wrong.
