DreamCaster comes from a dark background. Her family, born in the stars was given the job of dream scrying, they were tasked with creating dreams from their own imagination, at least one for each of the living creatures in all of the world. When she was born DreamCaster was given her name for being the most attentive hatchlings when it came to learning about how to craft these dreams, she graduated much earlier than her siblings, able to cast dreams more frequently than any other dragon as well.
DreamCaster fell in love with the dreams she created, she crafted them with such care no matter how fast they were created. This infatuation was her downfall, She would follow the dreams down, after the elders and other casters wondered off. She would recapture the dreams she created that she enjoyed the most. This caused insomnia in the creatures that never received their dreams.
For a long time the theft went unnoticed, until one evening when DreamCasters Elder stayed behind. She failed to notice him as he hid behind the grasps of a dark storm cloud. She went for the dreams, he watched as she scooped up one after another and as the night went on he tallied all of the dreams she had stolen.
DreamCaster was banned from the clouds, her power to create dreams, taken from her. For many nights DreamCaster cried, her wails were heard from all over the world as she traveled. One day she came upon the light zone, she was called to the Hewn City. A lair welcomed her with open arms. She tried to ignore her impulses to steal things that caught her eye but after only a few days she was back to it, her claws to sticky to resist. If one was to happen upon her lair they would be met by hundreds, if not thousands of trinkets, shiny apparel and much more.
DreamCaster was now a famed theif. She traveled to all zones over the vast world, discovering new shineys every night.
