 COMPANION  HOARDING  TRINKET |
LORE Calendir winced as the bark of the old oak tree he was resting on touched his barely healed wounds. He had been wounded before, even fatally wounded more than once, but he usually had his companion Fujin by his side who would take care of the injuries. But the huge pale Imperial was tending to more severely wounded victims of that dreadful battle with the Serthis Beastclan right now. Calendir could feel his companion’s exhaustion as if it was his own. He could also feel the presence of Autumn, his other brother-in-arms. He had come out of the battle with barely a scratch, one of the few who had been that lucky. Though he would insist it wasn’t luck but skills. Autumn was hunting down Serthis warriors that were still roaming the forest in small packs. And he did so with fierce and cruel efficiency. Calendir smiled. Their battles in the coliseum venues had welded them together for life, they were bound together more closely than blood brothers. Maybe this bond was enhanced by the countless times Fujin had yanked them away from the brink of death. Magic worked in mysterious ways as Fujin always said and there was a price that had to be paid for such magical interventions. But Calendir didn’t care, he would give his life for either of his two companions. Trying to find a more comfortable spot on the rough bark covering the branch he was lying on, he continued to watch over the clearing where Fujin continued his efforts to safe as many of their clan members as possible. |

SPIRAL Spiral dragons are sinuous, active creatures. They are best known for their erratic flight patterns and energetic nature. This species originates from the Zephyr Steppes where their population continues to thrive.  Spiral dragons have the greatest length-to-size ratio of any known species. Their sinuous lengths are incredibly flexible and may twist and contort into any number of impossible shapes, though the most common flight pattern involves a looping spiral. The small wings on their arms and legs help provide some control to their otherwise chaotic flights. Spirals have large, sensitive eyes that they use to their advantage during their nocturnal hunting. |

COLISEUM ADVENTURES Calendir could feel the presence of their enemies. He could smell their dirty hides and sour sweat. How he hated those guileful little creatures. They had almost killed him once, and whenever they went out to fight them, the memories came rushing back. All the pain and helplessness he felt, lying on the wet grass, clutching his belly to keep his guts from spilling onto the ground.
But he couldn’t linger on those thoughts now. He had to concentrate, be in the present and not in the past if he didn’t want to go down that road again. Or worse, endanger one of his comrades because his thoughts were stuck on some past memory. He exhaled deeply. “Focus!” he told himself angrily. They were almost there. And they would bring back riches and treasures to the Forgotten Sanctuary when they were done with those wicked creatures.
