Aloof, Mysterious, Dignified, Blunt,
In the midst of blood and death, he grieves

Dragons with emblems have achieved the height of their magic power and can perform the spell of their element.

Leon was a lost mirror clinging to a thread of life and sanity. But with a gentle heave, the Gladekeeper had found the poor mirror and brought him back. He stayed with her for a while, and she nursed him back to his lively self. She taught him magic. She taught him many wonderful things. In no time, Leon was sprouting with life.

But to his despair, the Gladekeeper could keep him no more. He had to leave. She promised him she would continue to watch and protect him undermeath her tree. She said he was brave. He was strong. He missed her dearly and said he will leave gifts for her throughout his journey. Then he set off and never looked back.

He had journeyed around the Veridian Labyrinth. He met friends and foe. Memories of battles were engraved on his skin. But he was alone. He was always alone. Those friends had never lasted long because they always had to go home. Home. Leon had never thought of home. He didn't have one.

One day, amidst his thoughts, a small fae caught his attention. She was fluttering around, seemingly confused. He didn't think much about it, not like she could see him anyways. He continued on his endless journey. But the thought of the pretty girl fae occupied his mind and eventually, he could see her in his dreams also.

It annoyed him, because he saw none of her again. Until she fluttered right in front of his face. What a surprise! He recovered from the confusion. Leon asked the fae, who was she? Why she had appeared in his dreams?

The fae only laughed it off. Leon was flustered but he also liked her pretty laugh. He liked everything about her. So they stayed together and Gladekeeper. Gladekeeper had a good laugh and her heart swelled.

"What do you think, Eve, if we should perhaps start a clan?" Leon one day asked his mate. "Why? Where would we find loyal warriors to be on our side? Think about it, Leon. It is hard."

Then they waited and lived a little longer together. At least Leon wasn't alone now. But he still felt something was missing. He felt he was destined to be more. To lead. He wished so hard that Eve would agree. But, she liked simple. And it came so fast. Eve had her first batch of eggs.

Two glowing seeds laid sheltered in the thick grassy cave they lived in. And eventually summer had arrived, and their hatchlings had hatched. One fae, and he was adventurous. He loved exploring and then there's nerdy little Mirror who loved to read the few books Leon had found while scavenging.

The two boys eventually grew, and their home began to shrink. And that's when the Beastclans attacked. It was a furious battle within the jungles. Warriors were drawn from clans to eradicate the problem. It was war.

Of course, blood was spilled and many of the casualties lay, slowing decaying into the jungle herself. Hikaru, the youngest son of Leon was taken from their grasp, to join the ranks of the dead above the starry skies. To stare down on Sornieth with the fallen warriors that gave their life to protect who they love the most.

Leon and Eve could not afford to lose their other son, so they fled. The warriors of the other clans could not aid them. Food and water were scarce. They have already too much to deal with.

Finally, mother herself, the Gladekeeper stood up. She let out a loud shaking roar. Vines and vegetation restrained those who fought. Flowers and dryads bury and mourn the lives lost. It was silent and gray. Leon turned around. "This war. Why?" Gladekeeper snarled. "Wilt, blood, death!" Her voice shook. With disappointment and sadness.

"I am not my sister, and will not fall against her." She continued. It was rumbling, shaking. Rain began to fall. The special water healed the wounds of whose it touched. The tears of Gladekeeper. Her children fighting against Beastclans and themselves. The warriors teared themselves apart.

The great deity sat down again. "Stop this war". She whispered. The war stopped. Dragons with their heads down, their tail dragging, walked sullen back to their clans. The Beastclans retreated. No one had won.

"I..I must go see Mother." Leon rasped. "Oh, Leon! We are so close to the ocean! What must be so important?" Eve sighed. She wrapped her arms around her son and mate. "You will understand eventually. But, for now. I must go". Tears streamed down Eve's face as she sobbed. It was a hard sight for Leon. But the urge to meet the Gladekeeper, it pulled him. "How will I protect our son?" Eve sobbed even more. Her eyes sparkled of sadness and regret. "How will I know if you are going to be okay?"

Leon smiled. "I will send Mother to protect me on my journey. I will also send her to protect Hinata and you." He pulled her into an embrace. He felt tears run down his cheek. Why must this hurt so much? Leon sighed. "I wish not to leave, but Mother is calling me. I promise to come back to you." "You promise?" Hinata chirped.

"Promise forever", Leon grinned. "This is farewell." And he leapt away. Through thickest of the forest, the places where lost souls plea, the deepest jungles, Leon looked up at the behemoth. Where Mother sat awaiting his arrival, her green eyes narrowed. "Impressive. You have arrived in such short time", she praised the mirror. He felt a jolt of happiness in him. "Ah, thank you , Mother. But, why do you send me?"

Gladekeeper lowered her head until her eyes were level with Leon's. With sweep of her tail, a soft breeze blew in his face. She casted a spell, and a magic circle formed underneath her. "You were a good son, Leon. I believe you should lead a clan of your own warriors. A clan to prevent the war of others. The peacekeepers."

She stepped back to reveal a ghostly shape of a mirror. His body was covered in starlight. "H-hikaru!" Leon's voice faltered and he dropped to his feet in lost and sorrow. "I... I have truly failed as a father. I'm sorry. I did not protect you." Hikaru nosed his father's face, licking away his tears of regret. "Talk no more. I'm safe and happy now. I get to study with Gladekeepr too!" He excitedly flipped through the books he's been holding. "Ancient books! How interesting!" Leon said in surprise.

But their reunion is too short. Gladekeeper escorted Hikaru back to the ranks of the stars. Leon could not hold his tears back, an his floodgate burst open. He let it all out, his roars shaking the trees. It all hurt so much! So, with Gladekeeper's quest in heart, he set off to find Eve and start a Clan.

He created the Clan of Unwavering Life. To protect the Gladekeeper's druids and herself.

Persistance

I am usually not the one to record my findings down, but I am not one to remember things for a long time. I hope this book of my adventures, and perhaps hopefully become one of the Lore books of my new clan will spark your interest.
♦♦♦

Persistance and Determination. What does that mean? For all of my life, I had only one purpose in my life. To grow stronger so I could protect the ones I loved most. But what does protecting one's beloved cost? Will it cost another life so I could protect one?

For awhile now, after my meeting with my humble deity, Gladekeeper, I find a new feeling growing inside me. What is it? My mate told me about desire. Maybe a desire to help, or to protect? I felt I wanted to protect the innocent. The ones who did no wrong, but were punished.

Persistance. I did not want to fall. Life does not want to succumb to emptiness, death. So we evolved, we adapted instincts to keep us from harm. The strong should protect the weak, not cast them aside. Instead, I want to give them time to adapt to changes. Give them time to become strong once again. Eve and I could not do this alone, as we have witnessed our second son's death, we changed. But perhaps, with a clan we may be able to succeed.

This is the beginning of the Clan of Unwavering Life. Our unfaltering will to survive and protect.
