At a young age, Grace was not well liked among her Ice home, for her Shadow dragon features. When she reached adulthood, she questioned the Clan Leader's right to rule, and was exiled from her home land to the Tangled Wood - a foreign land to an Ice dragon, effectively dooming her from the grace of the Icewarden. To make sure she never tried to come back, there was an attempt on her life that left her nearly dead.

Upon coming to the Tangled Wood, Grace was in a fever haze with the poison coursing through her veins. She wandered for days before collapsing at the base of a great tree and falling into a fever induced coma. She was found by Bermuda, who took her in and nursed her back to health. The unforeseen consequence, however, was that she lost all memory of her previous life. This has made her a novelty among the clan, who all are very curious as to how this happened to her.

In her new life, she has been taken as Bermuda's helper, and fulfills her roles when she is unable to. She also keeps the records of the activity of the clan. Grace is the brains of the operation, but Bermuda makes sure it's logistically possible, and she is the one to distribute assignments. Now, everybody is befriended with her since she is such a great personality.
