Marian makes a questionable Light dragon. While she jumps whole-heartedly into philosophical discussion and is extremely well read, she is also not entirely truthful, and is very willing to tell a lie if it will produce a more favorable outcome. She certainly looks the part of a Light acolyte--she is regularly found sporting brilliant, glowing gold attire--but she is incredibly vain about her appearance, so no one is sure how seriously she takes the doctrine of the Light flight. Despite the slight mystery surrounding her, she's kind and friendly to all she meets and is always willing to strike up a conversation.
Merian was born in Wispwillow Grove to two loving parents and many siblings. Growing up she loathed the murky darkness of the forest, and always kept a jar of pixies or firebugs close at hand to hold back the shadows. She read everything she could get her claws on and often avoided playing with her siblings, using the time to devour a few more chapters of her latest literary find.
When Marian came of age she abandoned her home and family. Once she broke though the dense treeline, finally basking in the sunlight, she knew she'd never go back. She joined a clan in the Sunbeam Ruins for a time, but was criticized for her Shadow heritage. Upon hearing rumors of a safe haven in Dragonhome, she finally found Thistledown Sanctuary and decided to make it her home.
Merian is a larger Skydancer, with a large, elegant wingspan. She is also extremely slender, and has a very low weight for her size. Her whole being exudes a luminous quality--this effect is increased by the runes she paints on her fur, feathers, and claws, which are enchanted to shine brilliantly.
