Heads turn everywhere they go, but she has eyes for only one dragon.

The most elegant and graceful of all the ladies, Aran turns up their nose at courtly fashion trends, and consequently she often winds up accidentally starting a new one. Aran is quick to take offense and has never lost a duel.

Aran never arrives at a party before sundown, no matter what the invitation says. The Court gossips are all convinced she's angling to catch the Crown Prince, but she claims she has her eyes on a different prize.

Doesn't hate Yaimi. In fact, they rather enjoy the Gaoler's company - Aran feels like an outsider despite her long years at the Court, and Yaimi is an outsider. Aran finds the furred behemoth's blunt company refreshing after the intricate dance of Court politics. Her friendship doesn't mean she's not also angling for advantage through her association with the intriguing stranger, however.
