Biography
Regina
Queen of House Valliard |
|
B I O G R A P H Y
House Valliard is known for it's Valor, the word being what the House's name is derived from. During the peak of the Old War, Regina's father defeated the Selmonts and Lancasters at the Battle of Precipice Point, turning the tide of the war to House Valliard's side, and pushing the Selmonts and Lancasters upwards, to the North. Her father's bravery in that battle earned the house it's famous reputation. Regina now carries this reputation on her shoulders, ever burdened to both secure her House's control over the realm, but to see that she never strays from her House's honors. "Honor the code" are the words of House Valliard. They represent the values, ideals and truths of the House, as written is an ancient text known as "The Code". The founder of House Valliard wrote the set of laws in stone, the tablets are one of House Valliard's most valued relics. The code itself is comprised of five rules. • One shall not murder the innocent • One shall not take advantage of the weak or poor • One shall protect his kin, his neighbor and himself • One shall not leave nor abandon his brother • One shall not forsake his faith in his wife These rules are held by the knights of House Valliard, along with it's citizens and monarchs. The punishment for violation of such rules is equal, regardless of status. Punishments are carried out by a Tovar and his hands, a cell of soldieres that enforce the code and have sworn their lives to uphold it. |
B I O G R A P H Y
It is said that through all the wars in the history of Sornieth, the spire of Dragonrock has never been conquored, always having been controlled by House Valliard. The control of Valliard has always radiated from Dragonrock Spire. Even when defeat seemed imminent, House Valliard has always survived in Dragonrock. Always. During the Old War, House Pyke attempted a siege on Dragonrock Spire. All of House Pyke and her armies laid siege on Dragonrock for two fortnights, but by the end of the battle, all that remained of House Pyke was the scars left on the stones of Dragonrock Spire.
