Nemesis is the clan storyteller and librarian. He spends his time organizing and managing the clan library. He also goes out and tells various stories and tales to younger dragons in the clan. He keeps half of the Purge Book. An old, damaged book that retells the events that happened during the Purge.

Nemesis is known around the clan for being a sort of prankster, always toying with the children in the clan, taking things, then giving them back. A few days later. However, whenever Nemesis sits down to tell the children a story, they always flock to him. Nemesis has an amazing voice, making even the most mundane stories exciting.

Nemesis hates to be disorganized. He keeps the clan library orderly and neat, with no book in the wrong place. Normally Nemesis can be found deep inside the library, looking around at scrolls, or studying ancient maps of the realm. He is a hermit and spends most of his time in his cave. Because of this, Nemesis struggles to fit in and converse with most dragons in the clan. For the majority of his life, Nemesis had been shunned, further increasing his time spent with books. Despite his many flaws, Sundancer saw Nemesis as a kind dragon, and a worthy mate. Sundancer's personality fits well with Nemesis' while she is outcoming, bright and sees the good in dragons, Nemesis is more quiet and docile. Nevertheless, Nemesis appreciates Sundancer and is a good mate to her as well.

Before the Purge, there was the Dǎo mín, and the Dàlù rén. The Dǎo mín lived on an island, confined and isolated. Over many years, the Dǎo mín began to need more land, the island no longer sufficient for their population. The Dǎo mín began to explore desperately, looking for new lands to live in. The first they found, was the land in which the Dàlù rén lived.

In one savage sweep, the Dǎo mín conquered the Dàlù rén. The Dàlù rén attempted to fight back, but without the desperateness the Dǎo mín had, they quickly fell. Thus began the Purge, a time when the Dǎo mín hunted the Dàlù rén, attempting to exterminate them, leaving the land for the Dǎo mín. Before the Dǎo mín entered the region, the land was ruled by 5 different emperors, the Dǎo mín killed every single one except for one. The Dǎo mín were led by a dragon named Shashou, a vengeful dragon who wanted every last one of the Dàlù rén dead. As Shashou led the Dǎo mín towards the final emperor, his army was blocked by rebellious Dàlù rén, buying time for the last remaining emperor to escape. Those Dàlù rén died believing that Mirchiana would rebuild their empire, back to its former glory.

As the Dǎo mín swept through the land, many dragons went into hiding. One of which was Mirchiana, the last surviving emperor. The Dǎo mín continued however, for years, destroying the land that the Dàlù rén once lived in. After learning that Mirchiana had escaped, they claimed the entire mainland as their own. Any surviving dragons were taken, and made into slaves for the Dǎo mín.
