Biography

Light, and warmth, and wind: these were the things Palla found high atop the Ascent, all things he loved dearly. So he made a home in the caves he found there, and called them the Skyside Kala since the cliffs jutted above even the tallest bamboo thickets. Soon others began to come too, drawn by the same love for cliffs and sky, and convinced to stay by the founder's quiet, tranquil manner. Palla's time in the Kala has left him at peace and aglow with an inner light, a good foil for Haspo, his proud, feisty mate. He leaves the leadership and running of the Kala to her, prefering instead to spend his time with the other dragons, lounging in the sunlight or drifting on the Ascent's winds.
