Ianthe was worshipped as a goddess in her native clan, due to her beauty and prudence. Tired of her fate and the idolatry, she was seeking asylum in neighbouring tribes, of no avail. During a holy ceremony she was ravished by Oblivion, who abducted her into the Hidden Sanctum without permission. Aether put a hex on both of them, which is making her unable to speak in understandable voices, as she indulged in her desires instead of honouring her clan's sacraments - however she was allowed to stay, for reasons only known by Aether and herself.

Since then, all of her words are remaining cryptical, which caused her to become withdrawn and reserved. Her outstanding sense for divine rites secured her a place within the reign of Horus and Hathor, and she inherited a key role within ceremonies and sacred prayers.
