Little is known about the past of the clan’s matriarch. - mostly because she tends to reveal very little about herself.
Zeehra seems to prefer listening to the other dragons’ guesses, enjoying leaving them hanging and clueless about whether their suggestion was close or far away from the actual truth.

She is pretty cheeky and likes to tease others, making good use of her invisibility powers to frustrate her clan mates. She takes her role very seriously, however, and diligently checks on everyone’s well-being.

Zeehra doesn’t talk much, and never about herself, which only increases the amount of rumors about her.
Only one thing is certain: She was the first dragon to move into the Luminous Cave. At least the first one who lived to tell.

Zeehra doesn’t know who her parents are. As an egg, she was rolled out of her parents’ nest during a heavy storm and somehow ended up inside the Luminous Cave, where the cave’s magical powers hatched her.

All her life she has been spending inside and around the cave, learning all kinds of knowledge and magic from it and earning the ability to turn herself invisible.

One day during her explorations of the vast cave, she came across a lifesize Pearlcatcher statue that spooked her but she decided to keep.

AKUMA

____Not used to other dragons, Zeehra used to hide herself in invisibility whenever curious strangers would appear to inspect the cave. Witnessing how the cave affected them differently - but never in a positive way - she realized that it posed a danger to most dragons and decided to keep naive dragons out to avoid more fatalities.
She realized that the Pearlcatcher statue she had found years ago was truly much more than that - an actual dragon turned into crystal by the cave’s powers - and decided to save him.

____While the cave had assisted her in her life now and then, taught her things and even saved her life by hatching her egg, it did all these things haphazardly, whenever it felt like it. And clearly it had no interest in saving the dragon turned statue, which left Zeehra on her own to break the spell, which she has been trying to ever since.

PETAL

____As more curious dragons came to the cave Zeehra found that, while most of them gave in to her warnings and plea to stay out of the cave, some others didn’t and forced their way through anyway. None of them returned, with the exception of the medium Petal, a peculiar Coatl who wanted to check the cave for its magical powers - and strangely seemed to have gained the cave’s sympathy somehow. It allowed her to live inside in and, seeing that Petal would pose no problem, Zeehra didn’t mind her staying either.
She realized that she alone could not keep all dragons from entering the cave, however.

THE IMPERIALS

____Luckily nature itself seemed to understand the importance of this mission and sent the three elemental Imperials Feuervogel, Wasserspeier and Waldgeist her way to assist her maintain the balance of the cave.
With the new elemental balance surrounding it, the cave’s effects became slightly less vicious, though still harmful to most dragons.

REGALIA

____In search of a mission, the Ridgeback knight Regalia came passing through the region and heard of the cave, Zeehra and the elemental Imperials.
After Zeehra had told her about her decision and reasons to guard the cave, the Ridgeback decided to join her and dedicate her life to guarding the cave as well.

CHAOS

& INSANITY

____Despite their joined forces they couldn’t keep an over-eager Imperial and her powerful Guardian mate from sneaking into the cave and be subjected to its terrible magic. They had been treasure-hunters who had heard of immeasurable loot being hidden inside the cave. Instead of treasure their reward was insanity however, and so the clan was left with no other choice but to keep the aggressive and dangerous duo locked inside the cave to protect the world outside from them.

EPIDEMIC

A few months later the clan encountered the Skydancer gladiator Epidemic and, in need of stronger security, recruited her to serve as another guardian.
Continuously Zeehra’s clan was grew and she found allies for her cause.

LIER & JAK

Eventually the scientists Lier and Jak joined them, eager to investigate the cave’s magic. Zeehra was hesitant about letting more dragons into the cave, fearing for their safety, but having yet to make any progress to save the crystallized Pearlcatcher she had found, she accepted their presence and studies.

VICTORIA

One day a strange and confused-looking Coatl sage arrived at the cave, claiming that the gods had sent her to join the clan. Seeing how Petal and the newcomer had immediately established a mental and telepathic connection, she decided to let Victoria stay.
It did help to have someone receiving news straight out of the heart of the cave, where Petal was taking care of the weird and dangerous creatures, and who could warn them about any escape attempts of the deranged treasure-hunter duo she had named Insanity and Chaos.

PULSE

&ELIPSE

The last addition to the clan were the ethereal dragon couple Pulse and Elipse who the deities had ordered Victoria to reunite at the Luminous Cave and who, out of gratitude and because of their immunity to the cave’s magic, stayed inside the cave ever since, ready to help the clan whenever help would be needed.

With her clan having reached a decent size, Zeehra’s mission to keep strangers out of the Luminous Cave has been very successful, though she has yet to break the Pearlcatcher’s curse.
