the unknown tale of rena

Rena's job was a taxing one: a spirit healer she so calls herself. And while the name may draw some level of mystique, Rena is a glorified therapist. Ironically she finds peace within herself through being a mediator. Through the messy screaming arguments and incoherent rambles, Rena finds some level of satisfaction in gently untangling the conflicts and woes like a pair of threads too intertwined. Prior to her job as a spirit healer though, she was an apprentice under Daerce; a famed and exceptionally skilled healer. But when she became a healer herself in the Wallows, the stress of caring physically for another dragon was too much for her; especially because she was taking care of a baby Delwen at home as well. So she took up the role her mother once had and Rena has been living blissfully with her family ever since.

Delwen, despite being one of the loudest and most miserable hatchlings Rena has the (dis)pleasure of caring for, grew on her. Rena is careful not to spoil her son though, but still showers him with as much love as she can give.

After all the time they spent together, Waca began pursuing Rena romantically. Initially she rejected her advances(which Waca took well), as she was juggling raising Delwen and her new job, but as Waca continued to gently aid her as Rena once did, she let herself fall for the warm-hearted Nocturne
