Gemstone sourcer, Merchant, Hired Muscle.

When he wakes between the murky, hazy hours of each morning, Ashen begins his work for another day. Another meal, another piece of treasure, another comfortable night in fire's dry heat wastelands. Thanks to decades spent in dark crags and hiding from hammering midday sunlight during clear sky days, his eyes are highly sensitive to light. Every flashing gleam he catches from between rocks, at the bottom of rocky fissures, or high up on sunbaked ledges, draws his attention in.

A scavenger he is, but of finer materials. Ashen's dust-addled coat gives off an impression contrary to his cut and polish talent, coupled with his immeasurably smooth nature, make him an impressive raw gem merchant. He does not have the precision or interest to refine his finds, but he does have the muscle to protect every haul he makes from the quarry to the market stall. His ink-hewn hide clings to every particle of dirt, and each precious shard of ore or crystal, and gives him almost an antique appearance.
