Biography

BUT IT WAS SO LITTLE MONIES (15g)!!! AND SO SMOL AND PEEPY!!! I HAD TO BUY A FOREVER SMOL!!!
They are small, but They are many.
GbIDQjB.png These 'creatures' are the physical formations of Zachary's shadows that he can create. I rewrote quite a lot of this when considering what would work best in an actual rp setting lmao.

There's also one little Wisp that has come to light recently. It's been called Peppy and is assigned He/Him pronouns. Peppy differs from usual Wisps because he has also been infused with light magic from Zachary's girlfriend. Peppy is also starting to develop more of his own personality aside from his role as Lucy’s companion. This role was assigned by Zachary when he was on one of his multiverse adventures. Peppy is always keen to help, chirpy and optimistic, and communicates using varying inflections of the word 'peep'. He very much likes Nutella.

THE ADUMBRAL WISP: AN UMBRAKINETIC MANIFESTATION

Wisps are small, compact creatures that are black with a slight purple tint. Their body structure is similar that of a will-o-the-wisp, though they have disembodied hand-like appendages. Their eyes are large and elliptical, coloured white and with no pupils. Their hand appendages are very strong, able to carry many times the Wisp's own bodyweight. They communicate with each other and their master via a series of 'peeps' or 'chirps', much like those of a duckling. They are also able to morph their shape to further communicate (i.e. a pair of binoculars to signal they are keeping a lookout). Adumbranites can communicate with these Wisps through normal methods (i.e. talking to it) and Adumbranese.

Adumbranites can summon Wisps by holding a small mass of shadows in their palms and blowing on it. This, in a sense, brings the mass to life in the form of a Wisp. Adumbranites can summon many wisps in a swarm by taking large chunks of shadow and breathing on them in quick succession. These tiny living constructs move independently to the Adumbranite and gradually fade away once their specific task is done, unless willed to stay formed by the Adumbranite. Some Wisps may become permanent fixtures should they be tasked with something that requires longevity (i.e. the lifelong protection of a place/individual). They are friendly and sociable, quick to mimic things that grab their attention. They enjoy being fussed over and eat anything they are given regardless of quality or substance.

Adumbranites can send Wisps into the casting shadows of their target. The Wisps then take control of the target's casting shadow and are able to manipulate it to their master's wishes. Adumbranites are also able to instruct the Wisps to attack a target, and can use them as eyes and ears by sending them to spy on targets. They are vicious when attacking, able to strip and consume the flesh (and occasionally bone) in a matter of minutes. Though the Wisps appear to have no visible mouth, they have the ability to tilt their 'head' backwards, revealing several rows of large, serrated teeth. With these teeth, Wisps are able completely eviscerate their target. Their jaws are capable of stretching to impossible lengths in order to consume larger targets. Wisps can store items of importance within their mass as well, with the object appearing as a shrunken down version of itself in their mass (like a little dark icon on a HUD). They do this by cramming the object past their teeth so it is not shredded. They can bring the items back up by mouth expulsion and the objects show no signs of damage.

Many have suspected that Wisps are a physical manifestation of an Adumbranite's soul, perhaps the more positive aspects the individual wishes to suppress. Although they are inherently loyal, they act as a mediator for angry outbursts and also as somewhat of a conscience and guide. They may not always do what an Adumbranite says, much like how one can disagree with oneself over moral actions. Every so often, a group of them will form a singular entity with which the Adumbranite converses for advice. This looks very much like a casting shadow, complete with white elliptical eyes, and it has been known to step in for attacks made against its master.
