T2a5nli.pngIt's an old piece of parchment, seemingly torn out of a book. The date at the top is scribbled out with a dark red ink.
We found Morgan's journal. It had a few more entries dated after we lost her, but if they're not ripped out and shredded, they've been weathered and faded into nothing. We searched the area, but we only found more scraps of paper. Petra's trying to piece them together, but I'm not hopeful.

I wish we left before it got this bad. It was easy to blame everything on the animals at first, but we were too scared to imagine anything else. Morgan had the right idea, something was up from the minute we found that tooth. I wish I had listened to her and got the hell out of this place when we still had the chance. Now we're just sitting ducks out here.

Mom told me stories of the Wastewoods when I was little, tales of ghosts and monsters that had lived longer than the Earthshaker. I remember when they sounded like fairy tales, ghost stories where evil dragons got punished and the good ones were rewarded. I wanted to believe in those stories more than anything back then. I remember when fear was a distant stranger to me.

Now it's too late.

Hope one of us lives to tell the tale.
