Duskrise doesn't like talking about his younger days. The furthest back he goes is when MossGrove found him. He always says everything before that doesn't matter, the only time that matters is now.

Since being adopted by MossGrove and her mate, Lynwoode, he has been training under them to become the next clan necromancer.

Hoards haunted stone orbs, encapsulated mist, and smokey spheres. Duskrise has found a way to tap into the magic of the orbs, allowing him to see into the past. He noticed the stone orbs always correlate to a pearlcatcher. The mist and smokey spheres don't seem to have a pattern. He's also noted that not every orb holds magic. Some orbs are just that, orbs.

_All Alone_

____A female tundra cast a glance back at the tall weeds, the wind blowing her skeletal frame. She was a ways away from her home, alone except for a small companion. She wouldn't have the heart to tell her clan what happened, but she couldn't continue without doing this, without giving him a fighting chance. A single tear ran down her check as she turned away from her son.
____"I'm sorry," she whispers. "I hope you can forgive me one day." She faces ahead, walking out of the shade of the forest. He has a better chance without us.

____The shaggy white and brown hatchling stuck a paw out of his hiding place, hesitating as his mother was engulfed in the mist. Feeling alone, he pulled his paw back in and sunk lower into the grass, shivering. He curled his tail around himself and buried his head under his wing, falling into a dreamless sleep.

_Orb of the Past_

____"Anasa," a young wildclaw called.
____A beautiful pearlcatcher watched the water ripple around her reflection. The sun bounced off her gold and citrine jewels. She let the tip of her tail rest in the pond, the fish gathering around, trying to catch a bit of the fluff.
____"My princess? I must ask you to come. You're father wants a word," the wildclaw shifted on his feet.
____"I must not keep father waiting, should I?" the pearlcatcher said, turning to the servant.
____"I would not suggest it, princess."
____Anasa stopped. Turning to her father's servant, she smiled warmly, "You know you can call me Anasa. I do not like being treated any different than anyone else."
____"Yes, prin...Anasa," the wildclaw corrected.

____Duskrise awoke with a start, causing the purple orb to roll away from him. Jumping up, he shook the dirt off his fur. Walking over to the orb, he examined it.
____"Interesting," he said, picking it up and putting it in his sack. He turned towards the light filtering in the stone doorway and walked back out of the ruins.
