B I O G R A P H Y

The life of a Bogswitch is unforgiving, growing up within the murks. The toxicity of the wildlife is said to have given their subspecies enhanced magical powers. Zyphus was once in a clan of her own kind, infiltrating other clans and taking their resources. Although immune to many diseases, they tended to be carriers. They were a blight, a parasite, that even the plague themselves wanted to get rid of. Other clans would seek them out, causing their population to dwindle. In order to survive, she separated herself and her mate from the endangered Bogswitch.

Zyphus was once quiet and shy, but the world had shoved her around until she was rigid. Learning that hard work was never enough with a kind heart. Sacrifices must be made for the greater good, for her greater good. She learned to lie, deceive, and manipulate to get her way. It wasn’t that she had become purely evil, but she never again wanted to live in the despair and starvation she once had. Knowing this, she was aware that just her and Brennos could not make it on their own. Especially with their mark as parasites.

After ages of the treacherous Abiding Boneyard, she met Meiying along the border to the Tangled Woods. Meiying was shy and perhaps a pushover, but it reminded Zyphus of herself before corruption. Meiying was forgiving and kind, too kind, and Zyphus knew there were far worse dragons than herself that would not think twice to take advantage of Meiying. She grew protective of the imperial, and they grew a strong friendship. They used their colliding flights and borderlines to build a clan, but perhaps Zyphus was crueler than she liked to believe, as she is the only seen leader of the clan. Using a spell, she no longer can transfer disease, but because of it, fungi and parasites are able to grow under her skin.

Along the far northeast stretch of the outskirts of the Scarred Wasteland to the farther southwest of the Tangled Woods lies a Clan created by dragons of both flights. Zyphus seen as the leader, while Meiying the co-lead and organizer. Although Meiying seems to not want the spotlight or responsibility, some wonder with Zyphus’ cold attitude if she scared Meiying to a lesser role.

The plaguelings and others that know where to scavenge along the abiding boneyard do so, providing mainly ore and materials for the main hideout. Most of the clan and lair resides in the Wispwillow Grove. Although the nests, due to the contagion of Zyphus, look more plague like. Over time, more dragons seeked refuge along borderlines and deep in the woods, where they were welcomed to join the clan. Some politely declined, and others allowed it to grow both in numbers and strength. Zyphus, strategic, makes sure to pay attention of who to befriend, who is most beneficial and who does not pull their weight..
