B I O G R A P H Y

Ember was born in a Fire clan, and always belonged to the Fire Flight. She grew up kindling the flames and ashes as a Fornax, protecting the neighboring lands to the Ashfall Waste from the bubbling magma. She lurked within the caves underneath her original clan, and grew alone and isolated. She loved her job and her Flight, but her only sights were the painstakingly hot lava that stained her wings the same tint.

It only took one drop of lava to destroy her. While working and keeping back the lava, her claw flicked, and the lava splattered against her face. The smell of her burning scales was unforgettable, and her roars out. The other workers of the Fornax all turned to look in her direction as her face was melted, and she rushed to erase the damage that was already done. It was too late to reverse what destroyed her.

She couldn't stand being a Fornax any longer after the incident, but could not give up her passionate love for the Fire Flight. She slipped a wolf mask over her face to hide her hideous, melted scales, and migrated above surface. She hadn't breathed in clear air for so long. Even if it was ashy, it was glorious. She could see the sky, the Sun, the Moon. She was free from the clutches of the lavaborne.

She was taken under the wings of a beginning Fire Flight clan. They had open arms toward her, welcoming her, even for her scars. They lived at the very top of the Ashfall Waste, where the skies weren't as smoky, and the perfect temperatures were created. She loved it. She was free, far from the clutches of the volcanoes, and could kindle the flames without worrying about scaring others with her burnt face.

Ember dedicated her life to becoming a blacksmith for her clan. She worked endlessly to make weapons for the clan's leader, and prepare her clan for battle with other flights. The other dragons begun to draw to her, each asking for a weapon of their own. She found her passion, and used it to forget her past. She felt loved, secure, happy. Other dragons wanted her. Other dragons needed her. She felt as if she was actually helping dragons. She found her life purpose.
