Aubin is the leader of the Clan of Flaring Constellations. He was the one that worked with the founder, Aether, to create the clan. He was a young dragon at the time, full of spite and fire. Independent, ready, and filled to the brim with energy. Aether saw potential in him, and handed off the leads of the clan to him at once after seeing his skills to lead and command. Aubin changed everything for them.

Aubin's childhood is gone from his brain. Or, at least, that's what he claims. No one really knows if he actually forgot, was brainwashed, or if he doesn't want to bring it up. He lives in the present, and focuses on his clan. The dragons around him are like his family, even if that family is not blood-related to him. He focuses on them, nothing less, nothing more. Outsiders that are not part of his home are banished if they seek to threaten.

When Aubin first joined the clan, he was unhappy. He'd lived in the Sunbeam Ruins beforehand, and couldn't stand the smoky and ashy atmosphere of the Ashfall Waste. But, he quickly adjusted to it, and found a haven for his clan to rest in. He was the one who led them to the very top of an extinct volcano, where the skies were clear and they had opportunity to interact with neighboring flights. He was fine with it at first... until a Wind Flight Clan attacked.

Aubin was young and reckless, and didn't know how to handle threats from other clans. Aether was weak and feeble, no longer able to take his place back as the clan leader. Aubin was forced to deal with decisions alone, and as a fiery young dragon, he chose to fight back. Little did he know, it would lead his mate and children into chaos and ununificaiton.

He met Eirianwen when he was in his prime. They fell in love recklessly, but not aimlessly. The clan watched as the two grew closer, and closer, and closer, until they finally announced they were mates. Eirianwen laid his eggs merely months after meeting, but they couldn't love their son and daughters any less. He raised the three of them under love and compassion that he didn't know he had in him before.

But things changed when the Wind and Water clans attacked. His beloved was the first on the front lines, as her fiery spirit would never deceive her. Eiriawen would do anything to protect her children from the wrath of death, and that is simply what she did. It was one day that Eiriawen made the wrong choice, and a guardian struck her in a faulty blow. She fell dead, right in front of his eyes.

Aubin was lost. His fire failed him, and he found himself backing away from his paradise that he worked so hard for his clan to gather. His son left to escape to a neighboring Fire clan to escape his past, and one of his daughters flew to Nature to find inner peace from the fighting. He was left with Amoriel, his daughter that absorbed her mother's fiery spirit and ambition. Aubin saw Eiriawen in her, and it stung. Each day, Amoriel would work to help him find himself again, but little did she know, she was the one hurting him. Maybe it was for the best that Kubal and Citrine went to other clans.

Amoriel knew better. She was intelligent and wise, and knew her father needed her there. She assisted in bringing him back up, restoring his ambition and spirit. He grew stronger, stronger, stronger with her. His daughter never left him. He had to make do out of what he had, and earn his territory back that he worked so hard for. Aether was dying, and Aubin wanted him to see the new land one last time before he passed.

Aubin launched the clan into one last war, and shooed the Wind and Water clans back into their rightful territory. They were reestablished, the clan's hopes high. Other dragons from other Flights begun to flock in, and Aubin sat on his proud throne, watching as his clan prospered from the land that he rightfully owned.
