Main Theme: Star Sky by Two Steps From Hell

______ Arcturus was anything but typical. Charming, mysterious, and mystical would all be words to describe him. Most of the time, his clan only seems him at nighttime, on the top of a volcano where he can see the stars clearest. He always has a habit of carrying around scrolls, sketched to the brim with star maps and constellations. He reflected like the moon and stars, wide grins and shimmering scales.

______ His background is unknown, and all he speaks of is his own clan nestled in the Ashfall Waste. No one really knows why he came to the clan. He just showed up one day, interested in helping out, and Aubin accepted him in. After that, he was rarely seen, and the times he was, he was underneath the stars, admiring the universe above him.

______ But everything changed when he met Vega.

______ Vega was a quiet dragon, always slouching her wings and hiding her face. But yet, she was beautiful, and was so passionate in what she did. Her spells were full of complexity, ornate and stunning in their patterns. She created the most magnificent light from her talons by simply summoning it from within her soul, and Arcturus found a depthful interest in her developing.

______ The two dragons became close, closer than anyone had ever seen two before. The clan was stunned at how Arcturus' entire personality shifted after he met Vega. He started to smile, have fun, be joyful. It was as if she lit up his heart with the magic in her talons.

______ Year after year, they grew closer, until the night where the stars aligned for them, and the Moon and Sun sheathed.

______ It happened atop a volcano. It was long past the volcano's time - grass had overgrown the top, and a single sakura tree brushed with the soft winds of the Ashfall Waste. The sky was clear, so clear that every star sparkled and shimmered with the darkness of the sky.

______ Arcturus waited atop the hill for her. In his trembling talons rested a single white rose. He grasped it close to his heart, squeezing his eyes tight. Never in his life had he been so nervous, so afraid, for just three words. But those words meant the world to him. She was everything, and he was a wreck.

______ There she was, flying in from the night sky. She landed merely feet from him, and immediately rushed to him with a broad smile. Giggling, she knocked him down, wrapping her wings around his body as they tumbled.

______ "Good lord, Vega!" He breathed in her soft, floral scent as she leaned closer. "You didn't need to approach like that, you know. You could've broken one of my wings."

______ "Ah, stop being so pessimistic!" She twindled with his talons, resting hers atop his. "What did you want to talk to me about? It's the most beautiful night to do it, that's for sure. I have to admit, it's inexplicably beautiful up here. The colors of the tree, the petals of the blossoms... I'm not sure why it took me so long to find this place."

______ Arcturus closed his eyes, and tried to stop his talons from shaking so much. "Vega, I have to tell you something. It's really been bothering me, and - "

______ Her voice dropped as she became serious, resting her tense muscles. "Arcturus, you know you can tell me anything. Any time. Please don't ever be afraid to come to me for problems, no matter what they are."

______ "This time, it's different." He opened his eyes to stare at the white rose resting on his chest, but moved his gaze to the stars. He almost choked at noticing the strange astrological event. Right above them was the constellation of Cancer, and Jupiter flickering not too far away. He held his breath, but knew. He always knew. He knew that the universe wanted them to be together, wanted them to coincide as one. And his heart rested. His nerves chilled. He understood everything, and what he had to do to make things right for the universe.

______ "Vega, I love you."

______ Her gaze was unmoving, and her soft smile still abundant. "You thought I didn't know that? I've loved you for so long now, Arcturus." She paused to lean down and lift the rose in her mouth. "I love you, too."

______ Those were the words that Arcturus would never forget.
