The two of them were part of an inter-clan peace attempt between a shadow flight and a light flight clan, basically a collaboration project as an unspoken attempt to ease tensions that everybody blatantly knew was an awkward peace plea; a sort of "don't screw this up but nobody likes it" situation. They were to utilize their knowledge of their respective flight's ruins and history to attempt to find connections to the other ruins left behind across Sornieth, to semi-regularly send back notes on their discoveries to their home clans. Neither of them like this.
