Navos

 _Lost and Found_   ____Navos started out life by stumbling through the sand as he suddenly appeared in a desert. He wasn't sure how, and still doesn't know to this day, though he remembers his first steps in Sorienth well. He remembers thinking, 'What in the... What? Where am I?' He stumbled on through the barren wasteland, looking for any signs of life. He spotted a few critters racing through the cacti here and there, but nothing that seemed to be quite as big as he was. That is, until he saw her. His four eyes widened and the fins on his head perked up. A beautiful, strong looking dragon approached him, and he suddenly felt very odd looking in his bland scales and colors. She told him her name was Morget, and he suddenly realized he had no name. As his mind raced trying to think of something, he stuttered, "Na... Vo... Sssss..." And decided that would be his name. As he walked with her, he felt connected to the landscape around them. It didn't seem like much at first glance, but after a while he started to feel the energy in the ground, sparking between the grains of sand. He felt his own claws tingle with the same energy, and as he brushed wings with Morget he felt it in her, too. He tagged along with her as she found more dragons to join their little group until eventually they decided to find a spot and settle down. ____Once they'd found a good spot to start building a clan, Navos started training with Morget and experimenting with their powers. Though Navos was pretty good for a beginner, Morget outranked him by far. She was already doing more complex spells, like changing her appearance to that of an even more beautiful dragon. He was worried about her, the effort had nearly killed her, but soon she got better at it. Eventually he summoned up the courage to ask her if she could perform the same spell on him. She did it, and without any struggle. It worked so well, he asked her if she could do more. She gave his old scales new colors, and gave them different patterns. He was so grateful, but he was also worried about her. Her powers were getting much stronger. He kept practicing. He discovered he had a strong connection with his natural element, and could use it for many different things. He represented his element on several occasions. He lived a good life, the leader of a clan with his beautiful coatl by his side, but he was still worried about her. She always seemed depressed, and she would use her magic without ceasing, like it was easing her pain. He feared she was falling into a trap, and she was.

_Hope_ ____Navos was quite scared for the dragon he loved. She would use her powers like a drug, making her pain go away for a short time before returning and making her want to do more. He feared she might never be the same, so he took action. He spent more time with her and tried talking to her softly. He had hope, he'd seen good in her. She'd never once used her magic for evil, or to get what she wanted, or to harm another dragon. That was a start at least. He knew she had a good heart on the inside, and his goal was to bring it out. ____Navos was a great listener. He would listen to her for hours on end as she poured out her hurting and got it off her chest. They spent much time around the hatchlings, as they seemed to calm her. He noticed she was trying to take action in destroying her addiction as well, and this made him so proud. One day, maybe all his hard work will pay off and she'll be happy again. Maybe. But for now, they're quite content. Navos is intelligent and quick thinking, always ready for a funny comeback. He wants to make dragons laugh to do his part in making the world better. He always wants dragons to feel welcome in the clan. He helps out with everything, sometimes using magic and sometimes not. However, Navos has always been a little bit of a show off. He likes proving his worth to others, especially his mate. Sometimes he can get a little cocky, or stubborn. Usually though, he's just trying to make her laugh.
