Amarii was a dragon of fire- not of flames physical, burning at stone and scale, but the true fire, the fire of the soul. Although her eyes were ocean blue, her mane entangled with the seaweed commonplace to her hearth and home, she was a fiery dragon. Although her hide was a deep azure, striped from years of crashing waves and strong currents, her wings were brilliant reds, oranges and yellows, reminiscent of ocean sunset blazing. Lost within the teals and ultramarines were little sparks, flecks of amber betraying her temperament. With this fire she protected her home, not with the thoughtful fist of her mate but with the ever-watchful gaze of a Guardian unyielding.

All were welcome within the twists and turns of her subterranean home, but few stayed. Amarii, Lady Most High, watched all. Nothing escaped her meticulous gaze, let it be dragon, familiar, or fish. In the murk of the grotto, Amarii was your guide, but once in a blue moon a newcomer would enter the caves never to come out again. And so it was this way that the two guardians ruled their little kingdom, their little kingdom of crevasse and cranny, niches and crawlspaces.

The Soothsayer’s Grotto had its guards, but its keepers within were Azalar and Amarii, Protectors Most High.
