Ira is known by many names.

The boss. The vehement. The brutal. The killer. The wrath. The lightning strike. The dark leader who controls Central City from the shadows.

But really, she'd prefer it if you just called her Ira.

Ira is the leader of the Vendevice; an infamous crime organization based in Central City, and as its leader, Ira has a massive influence on Central City, and certain parts of Sornieth as a whole. She's old, much, much older than most. She was there when the city was built. She was there before it became what it is today.

And she knows exactly how to game the system, because she's the one who ever so carefully built that system in the first place.

There is not a thing in Central City she doesn't have some measure of control over. There is not a thing she doesn't know. They often say the walls have eyes in Central City, and this would not be an exaggeration; Ira has men everywhere, plants, spies, you name it. There is no point in conspiring against her; she'll know before you full and well realize... and then, you'll be wishing you'd just stayed loyal to her. Ira has no tolerance for people who pettily try to conspire, no; if you go against her, do it to her face. She may respect you all the more for it. Maybe she'll even let you live. Maybe. Probably not.

She's cunning and brutal; she has to be, as the leader of the Vendevice. She would not be where she is today if she wasn't as ruthless as she is. She's willing to step over many corpses to keep her influence, and she has no qualms doing many, many unsavory things to gain riches. Of course, nowadays she has plenty of lackeys to do the dirty work for her, but that's not to say she won't whip out a lightning-powered pistol in your face if needs be.

Even if you think she has no control over something, she probably does; even the current mayor of Central City, Finneas Thompson, was put in power by her doing. She has her fingers in many pies, pulls many, many invisible strings, and is generally two steps ahead of... pretty much everything. Many businesses, organizations and other enterprices in Central City are backed by the Vendevice, and thus, by her. All to make more money for the Vendevice, and all to increase the influence she holds. It's pointless to try and go against her; her presence is everywhere.

Though many regular citizens are unaware of her presence at all, she truly is inescapable. Though there are other gangs in Central City that have much more "public" leaders, she's the one who's truly in control. She's plenty happy to let those Tough and Vampire idiots bumble around and fight for turf; in the end, it all belongs to her.

As a final note, Ira has a severe dislike of Honba, the kind-of-but-not-really leader of Status Quo for raiding one of her more important warehouses completely by themself. She still doesn't know how they managed it, but it angers her. That being said, Status Quo is an extremely important semi-permanent ally, and brings in a lot of money by buying the Vendevice's modded and illegal weaponry. She curses that Doc daily for smooth-talking her into letting it go, but it is what it is. She'll tolerate Honba and their accomplices if it means she has more influence and power. Hmph.

Besides... Status Quo's research into the deities and the otherwordly powers of Sornieth greatly interest her, and she'll gladly use her influence to aid them in that research. Of course- only if they share their findings with the Vendevice, and her, by extension.
