Working under Kiyomi’s tutelage, Jasper feels the need to act mature and dependable as often as possible. He tries and wants to be regarded as a 'big brother' figure to those he cares about. Jasper is quick to play the devil’s advocate in an argument, providing skepticism where others would see certainty. Angelica sees it as him ‘being a flaky, insensitive jerkwad’ and is constantly at odds with him. In actuality, Jasper can be a big softie that is impressed by simple things in life. His interests lie in reading, learning to cook and maintaining his health. Despite often falling into a bookworm stereotype, Jasper is able to defend himself and others with relative ease! At least, that's what he likes to tell himself.

Jasper had always looked up to Kiyomi the most in life, but her current struggles have him worrying more for Bastion and his burdens. He hopes that sharing some of his teacher’s former sunshine with Bastion will keep him from losing hope.

Jasper wants to study criminal law and prosecute criminals, harboring a strong grudge against injustice. Even when the justice he must deal proves to be a challenge, Jasper struggles to stay dedicated to his goal. No matter how many angles he has to tackle in disputes, he tries to cover a base for all of them. Though capable in handling arguments, Jasper is aloof in several other aspects of his life. Particularly, he is very poor at handling social situations that are not strictly business. His outlook on life remains positive overall, though keen eyes question how genuine Jasper is being with himself. Very few know that Jasper is actually a closet pervert.
