Cyress

(pronounced Cyrus)

The Deku Butler's son never had a canon name. I chose the name Cyress, after the cypress tree. This tree symblolizes death and sorrow, a nod to this poor boy's terrible fate.

The darkened forest beckons,
The fireflies glimmering bright,
The trees rustle their leaves,
But the deer stalk with fright.

The snake slithers on the ground,
The wolf howls a lonely cry,
The time is ever so slow,
But the eagle flies, proud and high.

The many eyes observe, silent,
The river runs, trickling along,
The woodpeckers drum on the trunks,
But the nightingale bursts into song.

The forest is a dangerous place,
The animals do not show their face,
But the fog drifts around, eerily.

And yet many venture there,
But not all come out alive.
