Main Theme: Remains by Aviators

______ There is no greater pain than the loss of a loved one. A long, long time ago, when Sullene was just a boy, he had to learn that the hard way; he had a friend, who at the time he loved very much--that childish, innocent first love--but whom he didn't get to love for long, as an Emperor razed his love's clan to the ground and took everyone involved down with it. His young mind now scarred and confused, he'd lost all trust in Imperials as a whole and believes them to all be affiliated with Shade.

Decades later, but still clinging onto that hurtful mindset, he managed to find love again. Glacius--a beautiful, icy woman who's easily strong enough to toss him over a cliff if she wanted. The two were inseparable from the start. They trained to hunt the Shade together, and there have been several close calls. One nearly cost Glacius's life.

______ Not to lose love again as an adult, Sullene panicked, causing a swell of Arcane magic that clinged to his will to stop corruption from taking his mate's limbs and placed sharp pink seals on her body to stop the spread of the Shade-tainted infection. Ever since, he's been honing his magic, preferring to use that instead of physical force when he's out on hunts.

There's a determination in him now, a life's goal: destroy the Shade and all things he deems to be affiliated with it, destroy anything that gets in his path to his backwards glory of 'saving' the world, or die trying.

Until Glacius knocks some sense into him, anyways.
