OLD LIGHT subspecies

BREED: all but plentiful breeds (maybe?)

ELEMENT: any
EYE TYPE: any, but pale eyes are best for contrast, so pastel and dark sclera are ideal

COLORS:
primary: dark range (black, obsidian, midnight, eldritch, abyss, phthalo, azure, hunter, jungle(?), umber, sanguine (more?))
secondary: dark range
tertiary: any, preferably complimentary or opposite on the color wheel to the prim/sec (ex: abyss/phthalo/yellow, brown, red range

the goal is to have a very dark dragon with faint hints of unique colors and highlights

GENES:
primary: metallic, wasp, iridescent, starmap
secondary: bee, blend, constellation, shimmer(?),
tertiary: stained

metallic, wasp, iridescent, and starmap are chosen for the primary because they darken the color of the dragon considerably while giving it shading that implies depth.

bee, blend, and constellation are chosen for their appearance/theme. the highlight flecks in bee can resemble stars, blend can resemble a gradient sky, and constellation is self-explanatory. i'm on the fence about shimmer, i think it can work similarly to blend, but since the color range is more limited i think it results in an overall "flatter" looking dragon. otoh bee is ideal.

CLOUDY NEBULAE variant

BREED: all

ELEMENT: any
EYE TYPE: ditto old light

COLORS: any, as long as the prim and sec are in the same color range and relatively dark/high contrast

GENES:
primary: morph, iridescent, starmap, metallic, jupiter, ripple
secondary: python, shimmer, constellation, alloy, saturn, current
tertiary: stained
