Personality
Kankri is the co-leader of the Clan of the Cursed, a sanctuary for the damned. He’s often the more talkative of the two leaders, often going around and talking to the members of the clan, asking them about their lives before his clan, and why they were cursed. Kankri, from first looks at least, seems to be the most intimidating of the two leaders, wearing bright colors and fancy clothes. But, looks can be deceiving, as it’s really the opposite. Kankri wears so much apparel to keep himself looking amazing, when in reality, he has no idea what he’s doing.
He’s never run a clan of his own before, he has no idea if what he’s doing is right. So that’s why (while his official title is co-leader), Meenah’s the true leader of the Clan of the Cursed. She has some experience, but Kankri was the first one to stay in the lair, so they decided it was best to share the title. Early Life
Kankri Vantas is an odd sort of demigod. He was hatched in a blaze of fire, killing his birth parents and erasing them from all records. Even though he came through destructions, Kankri found he had a certain gift. A few in his birth clan were cursed by the Flamecaller with eternal burns, but once Kankri reached maturity, the burns stopped hurting. They stopped moving further upon the victim’s bodies and they stopped burning. He could heal the curses, though the burn scars never faded on the dragons. They were saved, and they heralded him as a new healer, blessed by the Flamecaller.
Though, there was something that wasn’t taken into account for when they called him that. He healed the curses given by the Flamecaller himself. There were whispers that he wasn’t a true fire dragon, that he was a mutant and bad and an outcast. So they took action and exiled him. Snarled at him and forced him out of the clan, forcing him to flee and keep flying until he found a crevice in the earth with a lava crater at the bottom. Clawing at the soft earth, Kankri dug himself a hole in the wall for him to sleep in. When he awoke in the morning, a rather sickly looking dragon had moved into a newly dug hole on the other side of the cavern. When he prodded her awake, he learned her story. Once they had met each other properly, Kankri and Meenah decided to make a new clan here, a Clan of Outcasts. (But, once they figured out each others divine personality, they called it the Clan of the Cursed). They carved more rooms into the cavern walls to accommodate more dragons, and once they got an Earth dragon, they had them dig down to give them more room. |

Current
As of now, Kankri is the co-leader of his own clan, with a very nice batch of hatchlings on the way. He’s already had two batches with two mates, Meenah and Horuss Makara. He has seven hatchlings of his own as of now, and he is still looking for new partners. He’s very happy with his life as of now. Kankri has loving partners, strong children (...with Horuss at least), and a perfect clan. It seems that Meenah and him are a beacon for the plagued and plighted. Almost every single member of their clan, aside from them, is or has been cursed. He tries his best to cure their ailments, but whenever the curse is too strong for him, he passes them to Meenah. He’s...divided on the idea of passing them to Meenah. Her own specialty makes her very weak after...helping someone. Her gift of curse taking, an ironically perfect compliment to his curse healing, tends to leave her suffering the effects of the curse for a day or two. During those days, Kankri leaves behind his duties (leaves them to his dear friend Svanda to take care of) and cares for her. Makes sure that she’s okay and whatever horrible affliction isn’t harming her too much. Slowly curing it away from her. He, after taking a long break from the Coliseum, has rejoined the fighting force. In order to get up to a high enough level to be helpful, he trains alongside Meenah and Bloodmoon until he’s all ready to become the level 25 healer that they need to brave the Golem Workshop. He wears the Grim Healer set of apparel, which he always smirks about because of how outwardly happy he seems. It’s a happy life, he supposes. A beautiful mate, lovely children, a large clan. He supposes he’s happy. And well, he supposes he’s correct. |

Trivia

Kankri enjoys hanging things from his den ceiling, often things with freckles for him to bat at. Another thing he likes to put in his lair is a selection of chess pieces, he never gets a full set at one time, but he does still like having them in their places. Another thing he hangs from the roof of his den is the glowing pocket baubles, and the firestarter baubles. He loves the light he gives off and they remind him of his old clan. |
