Born on the darkest night under a sky blackened by ash, Skypath was a scrawny, weak, pitiful fire dragon. Her parents thought she wouldn't last to see her first morning, but against all odds she pulled through and managed to grow into a beautiful young dragon. But she could never manage to fit in with her clanmates. Although she loved basking in and around the lava pools that dotted her birth clan's lair, she was only able to cough up only the coldest of embers, never managing to produce anything a respectable dragon could call a true flame. She never felt at home among dragons who she felt silently judged her for her inability to call forth flame. She didn't belong in the ashfall wastes, she thought. Perhaps her destiny lay elsewhere.
