Biography

Ciel
The Tailor

He's quiet and tends to prefer time alone than near anyone else. His parents never had any luck in getting him to be warm or open with them. The reason? Ciel never really knew himself. He just didn't like most of the dragons he interacted with. He was always a picky dragon anyway, that probably had something to do with it. He refused to eat bland foods his former clan ate, he refused to let his scales get dirty, and he never let his pearl touch the ground if he could help it. His parents called him snotty. Ciel likes to refer to himself as proper. Despite his negative attitude towards most things, he isn't a bad dragon to be around. He is warm and open towards questions about his profession and is more than willing to spend time with any dragon that comes to him. Especially if they come to him for help with an outfit they wish to make. Despite what anyone in the clan may say about Ciel and his attitude, they can't say he isn't a professional designer of clothing. His own apparel makes that much obvious.

He learned all that he knew from his mother, who left to serve the Windsinger when he was rather young. While she was still around and not off serving a god, she taught him how to be nimble with his claws. He learned various types of stitches and how to make wonderful outfits within a month if he focused hard. He learned which colors went well together, which fabrics felt the best for various scale and skin sensitivity, and he even learned how to make the clothes tiny sizes for Fae. His hope was to take over his mother's business, but she left. Saying that the Windsinger was calling her. Shortly after she left, his father--who was a messenger--left to serve the Shadowbinder. Alone and without his parents, Ciel decided to leave his old clan and look for a new one. It was during this journey that he met his now former mate, Plum. She had captivated him when he decided to watch a performance her circus did, but their love was not meant to be. The relationship, while sweet as it lasted, didn't work out. They decided to remain friends, which was better for them both in the end.
Even though Ciel departed from his former mate, he continues to make outfits for her and her circus. He strongly believes that his outfits help her performance and of those that work under her. Plum can't argue with his statement, and the two converse regularly. So while the thought of him getting another mate is up in the air, no one has bothered to force it on him. Ciel mostly keeps to himself and he only tends to agitate others when they get near him or pester him, as that is when his 'proper' attitude tends to shine. The clan has come to accept the fact that Ciel keeps to himself more often than he talks to everyone else. He tends to prefer being away, being alone in his workshop. While his door is always open to those with questions about sitting or wanting to know how to go about their latest project, it is known throughout the clan to leave him alone when there is something important he is working on. The signal? He has to have food brought to him because he forgets there is a world outside.
