Biography

he/him | ice
Kazal is the keeper, archivist, historian, and, well, pretty much everything of the Haezans. Despite his youthful appearance, this Guardian is among the eldest of the clan and his experience in battle is second to none, though he has long since retired.
The Haeza clan originated in the Reedcleft Ascent, but the Wind founders placed great importance on travel as an act of devotion to the Windsinger. It wasn’t long before the clan traveled to Ice and Light whilst carrying out menial tasks and providing aid to the larger organizations that they stayed with.
Over time, clan’s founders were called to serve their god more directly, so the Haeza name fell to a dragon named Kazal: a hardened veteran native to the Cloudscape Crags. He took charge and trained the clan as they helped conduct research on elemental anomalies alongside scholars in Light, but their stint there was ended by the appearance of Luminax and a subsequent attack. Most of the clan’s members didn’t survive, but Kazal was able to reach Flotsam Town along with a few researchers from other clans, such as Hiraeth. Now homeless, miserable, and free of the creature comforts that they were accustomed to, these stragglers sought shelter within a massive abandoned sailboat, where they discovered a variety of other refugees escaping dangers in their own flights.
But not all of the dragons now living alongside them are what they claim to be. The absent-minded and seemingly incompetent guardian ‘florist’ sharing meals with Kazal and Hiraeth is none other than Nixie, a high-profile electrical and simulation engineer formerly employed at the Source.
And due to the sensitive nature of her work and her newfound proximity to researchers tracking elemental anomalies, it’s only a matter of time before her superiors come calling.
