 Rothen takes the "dad of the year"-award every year. Not only is he the biggest chunk of muscle in the lair but also very caring for those around him and has the power to cheer anyone up. He is especially loved by the clan's hatchlings, and often becomes the center of attention because of the cool battle stories he has to tell. But he makes sure every hatchling knows that he never ever condones unnecessary fighting.

He carries himself with a strong aura of pride, but never arrogance, and stays humble and true to his clanmates. Had his teammates Cifara and Tsumetai not had him for their leader, the group might not have lasted as long as it has. Rothen manages to tie two quiet and sometimes suspicious characters together in friendship, along with himself. Rothen is anxious of the day he retires from battle - be it from age, wound or illness.

His armor is his most treasured possesion and is always very well cared for. Sour spinach is a favorite treat for a good day.
