Dark

Born to a nomadic clan of skydancers, Sibyl's wind eyes are but a mere detail. The only deity accepted by her birth clan was the Shade.
Rather than a force of destruction, the Shade was seen as a cleansing that would come and rid Sornieth of evil and weakness, leaving behind a new reborn world for dragonkind to take over. Not surprisingly, her clan rarely found solace among others, and so they traveled across the land, their feathers marked by the oily touch of the Shade a warning to other clans to say clear of them.

As a hatchling her mother's teachings seemed like fantastical stories to her, and the small female sought to learn as much as possible about her legacy. Trained from birth to one day replace her mother as the clan's high priestess, never did Sibyl consider leaving her people - and she never would, has fate not intervened.

Fate

As her powers grew and her training progressed, Sibyl's fame as a seer spread. Clans that had openly shunned hers before now sought her mother's favor in hopes of getting the young apprentice to tell their fate. Like could the matriarch foresee that in flaunting her daughter she would be setting up her own downfall.

Greed clouded the judgement of the powerful and reckless, and soon her coven was endangered. Fleeing from enemy territories that sought to capture their seer, distrusting allies that wouldn't hesitate to betray them for a cut on the high price for Sibyl's head. Finally it was one of their own that led them to a trap, and Sibyl watched as the only family she knew was taken from her.

For a time she served her new found home, but her gift was not one that could easily be manipulated. She could offer the wisdom of her visions, but she couldn't see what wasn't there.
Soon her fame had turned into a curse. Many whispered of a shade touched skydancer, cursed to bring misfortune to all that harbored her, a prophetess who would bring nothing but chaos and ruin to those who crossed her.
And so she was auctioned off, again and again. Each time the host clan was a little more eager to see itself rid of her, and she soon accepted the inevitable fate - soon she would be sent to serve the gods themselves. The only ones believed to be powerful enough to contain her - and the same ones she hadn't believed in all her life. It was quite a puzzle.

New

When at last she was sold into a clan in the frozen realm of the Icewarden, there was no fight left in the female.
Surprised, she found herself in front of the queen of her newfound home - an intimidating skydancer who merely watched as all around her the court exploded into chaos as soon as Sibyl walked in.

Not one to be easily intimidated by rumors, Cassandra dismissed the rumors as easily as she did the uproar in her court, with a flick of her claws and a steely glare in the direction of those bold enough to argue with her ruling. Backed by their priestess, it was a simple matter to make her clan accept the new addition - as well as the benefits of having a seer capable of making accurate predictions that would benefit them.
However, one would be wise not to risk the safety of the young female. And so Sibyl saw herself in the company of Surge - her new bodyguard with questionable morals and skills as sharp as his claws.
