Biography
Leander
Ghost In all the years since he had first started haunting that beach, Leander had never met anyone -or anything- quite as odd and Circe. And that was saying something. The female seemed completely oblivious to what her tapestries meant, instead dismissing any notions of true power as nothing more than daydreams of her over-active mind. Her absentmindedness seemed to be a side effect of her ever churning mind, and Leander amused himself by toying with the coatl, constantly misplacing her projects and creating tangled messes out of her thread - which somehow always seemed to unravel as soon as she touched it, much to his annoyance. At first Leander assumed that, like most dragons, Circe was unable to see him - a nasty side effect to, he assumed, dying - or else she would be fleeing in terror like the the few that were unfortunate enough to notice him. He was wrong on all counts, as she had indeed noticed the other dragon lurking near her when she worked - she just failed to notice anything unusual about him. By the time she did realize that the skydancer wasn't quite normal, Circe was used to his company and dismissed it as nothing worth getting upset over. Her parents dealt in dreams and plenty of dragons had stranger acquaintances in the realm of the Plaguebringer. Her gheist companion was nice enough, and there was no point in being rude about his appearance. Haunted Charmed, Leander took care to always be near whenever Circe was working by the sea - which thankfully happened often. While bound to the sea, the male found ways to make himself useful to his companion, constantly bringing her pearls and whatever he could find on the bottom of the sea to decorate her tapestries. When Circe was suddenly hired as a craftsdragon for a clan in a different land, Leander was terrified of losing his only tie to the living, and hellbent on haunting the entire clan if he had to until they gave him his Circe back - surely it being all made of ice he could argue that everything was seawater, so he wouldn't exactly be overstepping his cosmic boundaries. As it was, the clan constantly dealt with much stranger beings than him, and his presence was welcomed as warmly as that of the female he followed - a clan member that doesn't require food nor sleep being cause for rejoicing in such inhospitable land. |
