"If we were meant to stay put, we'd have roots instead of wings!"

______ Myo: A unique name for an intrepid adventurer.

Scent: Changes often, but often smells like different flowers or plants.

Personality: Optimistic, bright, excitable, friendly, naïve, willing to follow orders.

Familiar: A small, affectionate sweetpuff that enjoys huddling in Myo's scarf and flying alongside her in her adventures (despite often causing Myo to have to slow down due to being a bad flyer).

Mate: None

______ Myo blinked as she gazed upon the horizon. She'd scaled the giant crystals in arcane territory, travelled along the Frigid Floes, stayed with the wind denizens in their floating city, but yet every time her eyes fell upon the great Pillar of the World, she could feel a tug in her talons, a longing in her chest. It was time to go home.

Ever since she was a hatchling, she had been inseparable from her brother, and inseparable from the thrill that came from travelling and exploration. Together they would soar through the sky and run through woods, deserts and wastelands all night, only sleeping under daylight until the sun went down. It was the only way she could live, she couldn't understand those who didn't want to be free. To feel the wind upon one's spines, the chilly air dissipate inside one's throat, to only chase after the moon- what a way to live! Her company would only be her brother, her own flesh and blood, her broodmate. Other than that, she would only live with the clouds, the sunlight as it glanced off brightly coloured leaves, her shadow, the assorted birdsong that would shift and morph in tone, the fog and mist on an early morning and the seasons as they cycled endlessly. Still, it could never last. Social creatures like dragons, like nocturnes, would always need to return to society at some point. Her brother felt the call of civilization sooner than she'd have liked.

He'd told her that he'd fallen in love, that he needed to go. She begged him to stay. He left, despite her pleas. Myo tried to continue on by herself, but it wasn't the same. Her shadow wasn't enough company- she needed someone to talk to, to share her experiences with. She tried to visit, to go to the place he said he was going to settle down in, but there was nothing. She never saw him again, even though she tried her best to find him.

Once that had happened, it was only a matter of time before Myo would seek out other dragons to stay with. She needed someone. Anyone. She couldn't continue being isolated.

She found that someone in the form of a clan, a group of dragons willing to accept her. And for now, she would accept them too. They allowed her to enjoy exploring while she still had a family to return to. She could deliver messages and items to others! She could contribute to the clan that had adopted her. Playing a part in the society she had once abandoned wasn't actually that bad, she had grown to accept and perhaps even enjoy it.
