Sporothrix

The clinking of bones was hard to miss. Wind had once again returned to the Plateau, but the sound of the strange chimes managed to overpower the sound of bamboo reeds, stirring the clan's patriarch from his nap, in hopes that the pair of dragons who had departed from the clan months ago had returned.

A large Pearlcatcher landed - far different than the Ridgeback and Spiral pair he had been expecting - looking excited, if a little lost.

"Is this Bregða?"

The smaller, but older, Pearlcatcher nodded, "yes. I am Gin, and you...?"

"Sporothrix. I'm, uh, I'm delivering a message from Asper and Phial."

Sitting on his haunches, Gin nodded for Sporothrix to continue.

"They said that because of circumstances - what with the almost disaster of the First Seed and all - they've decided to stay in the Wandering Contagion, but wanted to send their regards and thanks for all the time they lived here."

The news was not unexpected. The pair had said this was a possibility, and if they had not returned within a month, they were likely not to return at all. It warmed his heart that they were alive and well, although he wasn't surprised at the news. They were Plague through and through.

"Thank you, Sporothrix. Would you like something to eat or drink? I'd hate for you to have come all this way just to leave so qui--"

"I wanna live here!"

Gin, who had stood and begun to turn, stopped in his tracks, turning back towards the boy.

"You do?"

Sporothrix nodded enthusiastically, "yeah! Asper's my cousin, and him and Phial talked really highly of the clan and everyone in it. I want to travel. The Wyrmwound is nice and all, but I want to see something new." He stopped a bit, suddenly feeling a bit sheepish. "I-If I can, that is."

Laughing a bit, Gin gave a smile and nodded.

"Of course. Welcome to your new home."
