A sweet-smelling candle maker loses his wings at the fault of another. Laughs and scowling looks may follow him but they will not keep him from the Sacridite City. He will get his wings back.

It took months to build the wings. He turned to his wax to fabricate his dream, as he loved making wax candles and molding the scorching wax into beautiful sculptures. He never sold or kept them for long because he would melt them back down so that he could make more things out of the wax.

He spent weeks and weeks carefully molding and drying each feather until he ran out of wax. Seeing the tangible wings in his hands and not on paper brought tears to his eyes. As Xiq clipped them to his wings, he realized the downfalls of using his wax. He would never be able to fly or else he would plummet once again, he couldn't lie in the sun, couldn't retain too much heat.

But all of those were prices he was willing to pay.
